Paul Buff wrote "Tijuana Surf" and played every instrument on it. Frank Zappa only produced it, but he wrote and also play guitar on the B-side of this single, "Grunion Run".

Buff made the studio Zappa first used. He bought a cupboard and took out the mirror and put in a mixer! The Surfaris recorded their big hit there. Then Frank lived in the studio and called it Studio Z. Buff also taught himself to play all the instruments.

@exentr Wow, what a smart Dane... no English, no ability to Google and find out that, indeed, Zappa wrote this song and it got to #1 on the Mexican charts. Like the Swedes say -- "Danes and brains don't go together" LOL!
