Actually everything got it's price.. I do know that some well known selectors and (former) artists sell or sold stuff for a quick buck..released or unreleased..

@dairydubwise Dont worry Dairy, no selector in their right mind would rip this in its low quality off here and run it in a session. Nice to hear it anyway, but I do agree with you dubplate should stay dubplate - it makes it special.

@UrbanRockers dubplates is what soundsystems are about...going to a dance to hear lots of big big tunes which you couldn't possibly hear somewhere else is what keeps soundsystems alive and enjoyable....what's the point in soudsystems if everyone can have dubplates?

@dairydubwise & MrPotNoodle Interesting comments. You do realise that none of you would have got a copy of the dubplate for your private collections if dubplate stayed dubplate. There are stories of how certain dubplates managed to hit the streets and it was not the Sound operator, e.g. Shaka, Coxsone, Fatman etc who put them out. Would you care to tell us how you got your copy??? No I thought not!

I agree. It was so frustrating going to a dance and hearing a dubplate and then finding that it was released with either no vocal or dub. I suppose it all adds to the mystic and exclusivity of dubplates
