I have had a walking tour with Peter - the person who lead the filming crew in the movie Constant Gardener. There are more than 1 million people living in this area.

Man they crazy.it's not so bad here. Hell I got a green house.can't get no better than that suckas.green power ta ya

  • I just visited the Kibera Slums last fall and if there are only 130,000 people there, there must be lots of empty houses. I have also read that there is no accurate way to determine how many people live in this slum. I just know my movies of the slums show no end in sight no matter which way I looked. I visited one mother who has 10 people sleeping in her house. She washes water cans to make some money. Her house is about the size of my living room.

  • Lies lies lies, the last population census confirmed that there are only 130,000 residents of this slum, all the Rest is NGO Hogwash to raise funds to enrich themselves, Shame on the NGO,s that claim the slum has a million people, Shame on you all

  • where is humanity

  • Just bomb them and bulldoze them. Build a park there.

  • @mrembo87 , i was in kibera slum last week and it was horrible! you said the mumbai slum is dirty, well most slums tend to be dirty. I was showing my picturews to my aunt the pics i got of kibera and she has been to the mumbai slums and she said kibera is just as bad!

  • mumbai might be worse for poverty but going by Violene its Jardim Angele , Capao Redondo in Sao Paulo and Rocinha Rio de Janeiro

  • I am sure that the residents of Kibera will receive comfort knowing that in your opinion, there are other misfortunate people with less than they have.

  • the settlement is illegal,so the government has no obligation to provide any services or infrastructure
