This is the largest MLP toy I've reviewed so far. This would make a great centerpiece for a showcase of pony toys. It's stiff asking price ($30 at recording) does give you quite a bit, though: two brushables, several props and a sturdy playset with spring-powered motion and battery-powered (included) music.

I tried a new thing this time: a voice-over slide show. Does it work? I know I have a problem with the images' aspect ratios making for the waxing and waning black bars; I'll see what I can do next time. But is it a good way to show off a large toy's details?

Thank you for watching; feedback is appreciated!

  • How come you have a lot views you just record it.

  • @jesmika2011 I announce my videos on Ponychan, and some nice viewers have told their friends, so that's mostly where they are coming from. ^^

  • There is sort of a flaw with this. The inner gears don't seem to be secured very well and it's possible to knock the winding mechanism out of alignment. I've had it, so have others. I think tipping this thing upside down might be what causes it. I did fix mine somehow, not sure how I did but it seemed I had the problem after I unboxed the toy.

  • @diosoth Interesting. What would have caused that, I wonder? ... You know what? I'm going to take it apart on camera to figure out what happened! :D

  • That's what I've been saving up for but what toy do you think you get the most for your money

  • @TangleTail7 It depends on what you're after, meaning size and features. The brushables you get with the set contribute maybe $5 to price, so you have to consider the playset and the ponies you're getting. Compare Applejack's barn to the carousel. AJ's barn is $15, carousel is $30. The barn is smaller, no gimmick, but you get AJ, a few accessories, and a nice little showpiece of the barn. The carousel is much bigger, has the gimmick, and *two* ponies. Tough to say which one is better value.

    Best Wipnum quote ever.

  • I looked it up, that mystery pony is Sweetie Swirl, she's actually one of the most used background characters

  • I hope I'm not the only one who got goosebumps when the carousel played the snippet of the theme song...or maybe I am a hardcore brony.
