The restart was slightly botched with lapped cars on both the inside and outside, putting race leader Randy LaJoie (#74) restarting in the middle.
Glenn Allen (#99), Stacy Puryear (#51) and Chris Diamond (#68) to get black-flagged for restarting in the wrong position.

Elliott Sadler (#29) goes behind the wall to replace the rear gear.

Phil Parsons (#10) spins in turn two, no caution.
