Bob Fosse was an American musical theater choreographer/director, and film director who won an unprecedented eight Tony Awards for choreography, as well as one for direction. He was nominated for an Academy Award four times, winning for his direction of Cabaret. (Wiki)

In 1974 he choreographed his own moves for the role of "The Snake" in the film version of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's "The Little Prince."
Now watch and tell me if Bob Fosse dances like MJ? It's simply amazing.
This movie came out in 1974, while "Billy Jean" came out in 1982.

  • yeah i read moonwalk... bob fosse is a legend and also a phenomenal talent, im sure mj admire him, but this is fred astiare influenced dance, also not to mention fred astaire idolized bill robinson aka bojangles so its just a never ending chain of great talents who love other talents.

    ;) happy holidays

  • @KeepTrue56 yeah thats so true!! this video wasnt made to put mj in the wrong of copying because he hasnt+.*. im done research just now & bob was inspired lyk you said by fred "its quite obvious really" what u said about the never ending chain is very correct!! michael is lyk a megazord of loads of differnt artists+.*. he put all there talents together to create 1!

  • why did u make this video? MJ top inspirations were/are JAMES BROWN & Fred Astaire, and Billie Jean such a differentperformance than Bob fosses snake dance, MJ created his own flavor and style and own unique merit and trademark for others to praise, he is a pioneer, im sure mj like bob fosse, andbob fosse also idolized fred astaire mjs idol so maybe thats why it looks like this.

  • @KeepTrue56 yeah everyone is influenced by somone in one way or another i loved this movie i was watching it this morning with my aunti & it did quite shock me but it just shows that michael had great apprection for great talent+.*.your right fosse probally gained his influence from fred astaire and so on so yup.... also im reading

  • @dayviddisney moonwalker atm & these lines popped up "'I complained that I had not stayed on my toes like I'd wanted on Motown 25, Bob Fosse told me later, "Michael, it's never the steps that are important. It's the style". Moonwalker by Michael Jackson'+.*.& anyway michael defnetly made all the dancing much more better with his dancing ability +.*.

  • yeah my choreographer/director learned from Bob Fosse himself :) and when she moved on to be in the Michael Jackson's "Thriller" music video, she said they were one in the same. Damn I'm glad I learned from the best :)
