So, does anyone know what could have or did cause this? I have a 2009 HHR-LS FFV. I've never had any trouble with it and love it totally, but I'd like to know what to look out for. I do know they run a little hotter... which can be a plus in cold weather when you just want to defrost your car. I've always wondered though if that means its at more of a risk for car fires. Mine, if allowed to idle for an extended period of time, will get up to 209 degrees farenheit. Usually though it's 187.

Wow....what a terrifying experience. And such a beautiful car. :( Thanks for recording and sharing. It really serves a lesson as to how quickly things can get out of control
