  • A 17,000 mph thrill ride. Nice launch Atlantis, hope its not the last.

<-- Tsu.. very jealous of one of the coolest backyards views ever.

  • @Tsulea Sadly, this is the last. When Atlantis comes back, it'll get sold off to a museum or some such, with a price tag set at about 28 million or so. Discovery's final launch date, by the way, is set for September 16th, and Endeavour's last launch is set tentatively for mid-November. It truly is a sad day to see the end of the shuttle program with nothing to replace it.

  • Clear skys in S.Fl until about 1:30 then it blocked out everything.... Awesome clip, better song lol

  • @AAugust420 Thanks! Bring yourself up to Orlando on the 16th of Sept. I'm planning on driving to the Cape to get a closer look at Discovery's last launch.

  • @normalco I don't think it is, in the future we will eventually be able to go back into space. Will it be when we are still alive? Most likely not but its not the complete end of it.

  • yeah and Atlantis' last launch wasn't this one either.

  • Up Up And Awaayy ..and...back for the last time
