Adventure Island (NES) - Level 8-4 - Perfect Run (Wii Virtual Console)

Video of myself completing the final level (8-4) of Adventure Island on Nintendo (NES) without dying. By far, the most difficult spot is the spiders where the eggplant sucks your energy. The trick is to not get the brown milk jug in the hidden egg in section 2, that way the hidden egg immediately after the spiders will contain the milk allowing you to heal after the eggplant leaves. The rest is all timing and memorizing patterns, etc. NOTE: This was recorded while playing on the Wii Virtual Console so there was no tricks or cheating (wait for the end of the video to see the Wii menu for proof).

The hardest game I have ever come to beat. I own it complete with the box and everything...upon beating it, I stuck a slip of paper in there with the date and time I beat it. It took me maybe six-eight hours, but of course I left my NES on for breaks. Biggest accomplishment in my 15 years of life. :D

I remember over a decade ago making it all the way to 8-3 and never being able to make it across that last series of platforms. This game was sadistic perfection. But maybe it's all good because the ending is horrible. They should have straight up sent you a bottle of Jack Daniels upon completion.
