The entire concept of the movie was (spoilers incomming)
He wasn't paying attention, wrecked his car and killed innocent people. To make amends, he finds truly good people who are in need of organ transplants. Without meaning to, he falls in love with Rosaria's character, but decides assuaging his guilt is more important, commits suicide. She gets his heart (in more ways then one). The avg human heart weighs 7 lbs.

It's an incredible concept. A man who loves her emotionally ends up physically giving her his heart.
