Trevor Coleman singles during a 7-5 victory over the California Golden Bears on February 29 of the University of San Diego tournament. The 6-foot-1, 214 pound catcher was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 38th round of the 2006 First-Year Player Draft out of Dripping Springs High School in Texas. Coleman did not sign. The switch-hitter ripped nine home runs and registered a .506 slugging percentage in his freshman season of 2007. His play in his first season earned him Big-12 Freshman of the Year honors and a spot on the Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American squad.
