There's another video where one researcher does fall into the water, fortunately the shark left the immediate area, and they fished him out quickly. Just because you're a scientist, doesn't mean you are the sharpest tool in the shed. I use sarcasm, but I don't get these guys.

I enjoy watching great white shark videos over and over. I am fascinated by them since my childhood. If born in a country with an ocean boundary I would like to be a shark researcher. Such an exhilarating and exciting job. Anyway, is the larger great white in this video larger than 5 meters (17 feet) ? Thanks for the video. Mr. Attenborough has a great and lively voice.
