Two girls for every boy? A fine policy. Never thought I'd see this bit of classic 70's TV ever again. Thx for posting!

This is the part I cried like a baby. I would have been grateful just to see Jan ALIVE. Both actors did a first rate job. Rock on Dean. RIP Jan, you are missed.

I was ten when I watch this movie. I had a big crush on Richard Hatch at this time. Remember the show Emergency.

Did it happen like this or was it jazzed up for the movie?

@britinabq Well, it's Hollywood! But Jan & Dean did lip sync at this event as a joke. Jan wasn't ready to sing yet. The crowd did not appreciate it. A couple of years later, Jan really sang and got a standing ovation. So it holds a lot of truth if you combine 2 events.

This looks like an interesting movie. Is Brian Wilson in this movie also? After all Brian Wilson wrote Surf City.

@tedm1975 No, Brian wasn't in the movie. He and Jan co-wrote Surf City together, but the movie didn't get into much detail on that stuff. It's ashame. I wish it would've showed Jan producing and arranging the songs. It also would've been great if it showed Brian and Jan writing songs together.
