pfft. The car weighs more than a terminator, the boots cannot give enough friction, the front of the car would get crushed (as per laws of physics that state "...for an action there is an equal reaction..")
as such i deem this scene lame, pointless and down right shitty.

@Sage2000 First question: because he wasn't unconscious anymore due to his acceleration I guess. Second point: because they must prepare for running from the bad terminator, and that's easier in a car.
