  • Thank You PorterhouseV,

These video instructions on the 550B are so well done!

  • @Spudd02 thanks, glad you found them informative.

  • At 4:55 when you install the powder measure failsafe rod, why do you install it the wrong way? Looking at the exploded view in the manual tells me that it should go in back to front?

  • @moo1moo1moo - you are absolutely correct. if the powder bar linkage is installed "in the front" it runs the risk of snagging on the rear linkage plate where the slot is cut. I ran into this issue during a 5k session sometime after creating these videos. its honestly something that never even occurred to me until I ran into that issue. Maybe I'll make a response video cuz its a little difficult to explain the correct orientation.

  • My father in law gave me his 550B. He is up in years, and does not reload anymore. His rig has 45 acp dyes. I shoot 40 S&W.

Do I have to buy a caliber conversion kit to switch the unit to reload 40 caliber?

  • yes you will.
