Using a transparent LCD touchscreen infront of another LCD screen, PureDepth is showcasing some cool looking interfaces with dual layer features. Such as showing a zoomed in area of the screen on the second screen.
Filmed using the Sanyo HD1000. Posted in HD quality at http://techvideoblog.com/cebit/puredepth-multilayered-display-with-samsung/

WHY DO YOU NEED 2 transparent screen to make things look semi transparent, WHEN vista aero effect can do the work?

... and would need a small nuclear power plant to get enough light through from the backlight to see it in a dark room. :D

There are commercial companies out there making content specifically on 2-layer type monitors. This isn't for home use though. Don't think of this being marketed to the home user because there isn't a use OR a market for it.
By the way, we lose ALL depth when this gets posted to a video.

I think the technology looks better when watching it with two eyes.. the camera guy could've moved his camera around more to show some perspective I guess..
Right now this just looked like a standard flatpanel screen :)
Excellent demonstration software though, slick programming.
