This is a very rough stage of what I would like to do with Ham Radio text messaging over the radio.
The plans are to use the AX.25 protocol at 1200 baud, similar to APRS.

  • How is this project going? Having any success?

I thought the signaling system used the old Bell 101 on the physical layer. This consists of two tones played separately, never played polyphonically.

If you need polyphonic tones, output each tone on a PWN pin separately and combine them externally. For tones that require amplitude modulation, you have to generate them in software (I have code to do this, if you need it).

  • Well done, I look forward to more videos.
