@Square1Boy The most important thing is to stay tight throughout the movement, especially at the peak of the extension. Your back should not come into play because your abs are tight and because your lower back is supported by the bench. Take a look @ 1:46, the lower back and the very top of the hips are supported by the bench. This is just like a V-up like he said, you just increase your range of movement using the bench.

i sing and workout. believe me when i say that singing does not give you flat abs.
theres a common saying in the fitness field that abs are made in the kitchen, not the gym. diet is what gives you visible abs, not ab workouts (they do bulge the abs, however).
