This is my interpretation of the original Dazed and Confused as written by Jake Holmes in 1967, found on the album "The Above Ground Sound of Jake Holmes" (track 6). I have also included, for your listening pleasure, Jake Holmes's track over the credits and some video animation recorded off of Windows Media Player (using a webcam... no, they are not in sync with the song).

This is the song that eventually evolved into what is best known as Led Zeppelin's longest live piece, Dazed and Confused (the longest being 45 minutes), with Jimmy page's bow solo.

This is it... enjoy.

  • I really enjoyed this. I really don't understand the negativity I have seen. Voice is great. I have heard the original by Jake Homes and this is very close. In fact I was looking for the tab for Jake's version and google directed me your way. Good work pal and thanks.

  • wtf happened to all these comments that they all got negative votes? Thanks for doing this video.

  • Nice version. Jimmy Page made this song so much cooler but the original Holmes isn't bad. Nice acoustic version of the song is how I see it. Do you have a tab? I can't find it anywhere online.
