  • This looks tasty. oh by the way, i know this is old but...i wanted to thank you for introducing me to the artist whose music you're using....f a n t a s t i c[!]

  • You're welcome! That's so cool to hear that you found their music through these videos :) Thanks for the comment.

  • I'm going to be the voice of dissent here and say that I thought it looked pretty tasty. But if yuba is so easy to come by, why do people buy it at the store? (This is probably a horrible question; why do people buy ANYTHING in the store? Haha.)

  • I think it would take a long time to make enough yuba for a dish.

  • That... looks anything but tasty. Living in Japan must really fortify one's stomach.

  • lol I'm looking forward to your reaction to the next episode of Sunday Kitchen: natto. Hehehe ...

  • yes... pretty complicated recipe. lolz

  • I've been wanting to use fresh/dried tofu skin to create a stuffed roll like I've had in good Chinese vegetarian restaurants. But I haven't succeeded working with it. It always falls apart. I want to make something like this for Thanksgiving as I and most of my friends are vegetarian. Does anyone have a recipe? Which should I use, dry or fresh tofu skin? Do I bake it? Fry it? Steam it? Help!

  • thanks, i am totlay obsesed with japonese stuff. the anime, the languge there contry and there FOOD. i wish i was japonese !!!!!

  • i have no idea man, i only assume they would! ask around at the japanese restaurants, there must be an asian grocery store that would stock it in the fridege freezer maybe under either one of those names i mentioned. ive even heard it called 'frozed bean curd skin' i think

  • so its good, do they sel it in america

  • this is my favourite of all foods! a very delicate soft chicken-skin like texture and very juicy with a very very subtle creamy flavour. i would eat it fresh with some tamari and sweet chilli. The chinese call it Doufu-Pi (dofew pee)? a must for tofu lovers! mm mmmm...! one of the highest pretein foods available

  • I see. I guess that would be one of the drawbacks!

Ever since I first saw this video, I've been thinking about yuba and how it must taste. I've no idea how to get my hands on any!
