The best part is that, your bookmarks are stored only on your computer, but Google is in the web, so as your links =)
It's good if you you have at least 2 computers. One at home, the other at work...
And your boss would never know what sites do you prefer ;-)
Unless of course if you told him your secret "Search word" =D

Also you can use it like a link storage!
Suppose you have a bunch of links in your bookmarks for photo sites and a bad memory, so you just can't remember which one of those is the best . You can just type in Google, smth like "123photos" and put all the favorite links, and comment them.
So now when you type "123myphotos" It will open them, it refers only to the word you typed at first, so if you type "123 my photos" it won't show you favorites...
I think it's a good alternative for bookmarks =)

It would be great to make something similar for images)))
And would be awesome if you finish the "Similar images" which is still in Google Labs =)
At least its usefull for 3D designers and game developers for finding Textures =))
