I heard that it's pretty difficult to get inside of this airplane. What would you say?

@brebal1976 Something we do is just use a small strap about six inches long, with keychain rings on each end, then clip each ends to the top latch points. It holds the canopy open a few inches for flight. Don't really notice any performance issues. The only thing about flying with the canopy full open is that stuff can easily fly out. I now a guy who lost a nice pair of sunglasses looking over his shoulder in flight.

I don't think its to difficult to get into. but it is a bit tricky to get into without stepping on the seat. you kinda have to lean on the upper part of the front windshield to do it. Of course its no Cessna or Beech they a bit bigger and more conferable to get in. but with anything thats a bit out of the ordinary. once you get use to it. its not to big of a problem. Thanks for the view and comment!! Happy Flying!!!

Hey, great video.
We are expecting a new P2002 Sierra within 2 month's now and i can't wait.
But i have a question.
The brochure says the canopy can be opened in flight but a checklist we consulted says it can not.
I believe it is possible to fly open canopy below 70kts?
How fast do you fly with it and does your instructor fear structural failure when you fly it open or is it only a matter of more drag?
Thanks..

Hey.Thanks for the comment. When the canopy is open it might have been 80kts in the video i would not recommend going faster then that tho. My instructor did not seem to worried about structural failure cause it was never mentioned to me in connection the the canopy. the only thing he mentioned was i would notice a difference, it would put a good amount of drag on the plane, and to be more mindful of airspeed.O and u can open or close it mid flight. I Hope this helps and ENJOY the SIERRA!!!

You can open the canopy mid-flight??? This is like flying a convertible...awesome!

yea this plane is designed for takeoffs and landing the whole 9.. "open Canopy".. although my instructor does not recommend it because it it puts considerable drag on the aircraft....Thanks For the Comment!!!! :)
