He rode on the reform work of MR KEATING & took credit for the prosperity Mr K's reforms enabled.

He stood at the till, counting the proceeds of the mining boom saying "What a good fellow am I" (and tools like you believed it), even though he had NOTHING to do with the boom except to be in government when it happened.

He brought the biggest debt crisis ever & tried to condemn this & future generations of Aussies to serfdom in their own country.

Oh ands lets not forget Frasers/liberal goverment was about to cancel the visa of a certain muslim cleric , who all of a sudden once Hawke/ labor came to power had Austrlian residency. You might be familiar with this particular muslim cleric he was the one that came out and stated that those poor girls who were pack raped had asked for it because they dressed like whores. Not to mention all the rest they let into this country and now they want to bring another 190,000 over here.

Ohh yeah removing import prottection , so all of a sudden Australia was flooded with cheap foriegn import cars wich all but destroyed our car industry. Such a good job of reforming goverment utilities that there a model of ineffciency that at the time of CHEATINGS removal for every $1 spent on health care by the goverment 60c was spent on administration.

extending the Trade Practices Act, shifting from centralised wage-fixing to enterprise bargaining, reforming government utilities,

privatising government-owned businesses and deregulating many industries, from bread and eggs to aviation and telecommunications.

Among the developed economies, only New Zealand could top such a list.

If you truly believe Paul Cheating did a good job , then your are more clueless than i thought. I suggest you go back and read a history book on just what the unemployment rates and interst rates where under the labour party. How many car manufacturers were operating in Australia when Hawke and the labour party took over ? how many had shut up shop within there first 2 terms ? lets see Mazda, Nissan , Toyota . Mitsubitshi shut all but one plant and Ford & Holden have halved there worked force.

The rodent left the highest foreign debt EVER, highest Current Account EVER, the HIGHEST inflation of any western country, and interest rates the HIGHEST in the industrialised world. PS: I wouldn't be talking about records if I were you: Interest rates among the highest in the developed world; record foreign debt; record Current Account deficit; highest inflation since the early 1990s; housing the most unaffordable ever; historically-low levels of household savings as proportion of income; record levels of household debt in the economy.
