Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease. It can cause inflammation in the joints, rashes, fatigue, some flu-like symptoms, and multipe other organ and blood problems. It can affect any part of the body and is highly individualized, so no two cases are ever exactly alike. I decided that there needs to be more personal SLE experiences up, so I've started my own video journal about my experience with Lupus. Any comments, or if anyone wishes to chat, my AIM and YIM is MonkeyPantyhose. If I'm on, I'm open for chatting. :)

I have had numerous blood tests which never seem to show up anything. (h8 that tests dont show how i feel.) Other than b12 iron folate etc deficiencies occ inflmation..i've got so bad that now i find it hard to do simple things like getting dressed, walking etc i'm bed bound a lot..waitin 4 a rheumi now..onwards&up

  • I believe that the ENT that I see suspects lupus in me. He told me to 1st see a neurologist to run other tests to rule out MS and lyme disease. I almost bled to death after giving birth to my oldest child. I am a bleeder. It all seems to really make sense to me now. I have horrible leg and muscle pain. The muscle pain seems to be getting better after starting prednisone. I was diagnosed with pseudotumor, but I do not buy that diagnosis at all. 2nd opinion to come.

  • Hey! I loved your video! It has been a long time since you've made it. How are you doing now? Your attitude is great and inspiring! You speak so well and maturely for your age.

  • I'm 22 and have been dealing with crazy autoimmune disease symptoms for the last 3 1/2 years. My biggest symptom was joint pain up until a couple of months ago, when I got a weird bumpy, red, and itchy rash on my chin. I now have the same rash on my hand. LONG story short, my doctor thinks I have Lupus and I am in the process of finding a rheumatologist. I've been around and around the medical merry-go-round, so I'm hoping this is finally the answer. Anyway, it's nice to meet you.

  • Great video. I am a 37 year old mom with lupus, and I will probably show this to my girls so they can understand what it is like.

Good luck to you and in your fight with the wolf!
