Their accents and mannerisms were so endearing...listen to Jake say "Sayntah" lmao!!! It's a shame this show didnt last...it premiered right around the time Family Matters was getting implausible.

This is exactly like a Punky Brewster episode. I understand shows have a lot of the same storylines but even the lines and character names are similar. Both bully boys who spill the secret of Santa Claus are named Billy B. The "At least we still have the tooth fairy" line is used in both shows. Both kids wish for their parents to come back. Someone in their family dresses as Santa.
And I'm probably the only one who has watched Punky Brewster on here.

@deestar54 "On Our Own" was a short lived show that aired during TGIF time slot. The show was about the oldest child of 7 returns right out of college to help take care of his brothers and sisters after their parents are killed in a car accident. He tries to keep his family together by disguising himself as their Aunt Jelcinda whenever the Child welfare people comes around. It was a good show (I thought so) it was family friendly, but it only lasted for 1 season.

@Brieannas21 Just noticed all the shows that used to air during TGIF sound and almost look just alike. Like they must of had the same producers and all. I used to watch this show and it's so reminding me of Step by Step.

@fisku91 They were all made by the same Production Company. Also On Our Own and Family Matters had the same Producer.
