by default there is no vacuum effect minimize enable in compiz. So this is a fix for that without recompiling.

find:
magic_lamp_max_waves
change 3 to 0
save

sudo ghex2 /usr/lib/compiz/libanimation.so
sudo ghex2 /usr/lib/compiz/libanimation.a
sudo gedit /usr/share/compiz/animation.xml

  • Your videos are so helpful and informative! I rarely subscribe to anyone, but your ideas are really inspiring. I noticed your Firefox browser - how did you remove your menu bar? Could you provide the scripts you used to do it? Thanks a lot!

  • i can't open the sudo ghex2 /usr/lib/compiz/libanimation.a!

  • Thank you for that. It worked perfectly on eOS Jupiter (Maverick) :)

Nice how to, but u should speak next time a bit louder or clearlier ;)

    Thumbs up!

  • sudo ghex2 /usr/lib/compiz/libanimation.a

doesn't seem to be opening in Ubuntu 10.10, but it still worked just doing the other two.

  • hey... thanks! ^^ It works, even if I don't have "/usr/lib/compiz/libanimation.a".

I also made another change to get the wobbly a little faster (15 instead of 10)

  • To get this to work in 10.10 you need to install compiz addons from sypnaptic, there you can change it from 3 to 1.

  • @iYiavriik i know :C

  • Ive been unable to get it working in 10.10. Yea libanimation.a file is missing what gives?

  • "Save" tells me I dont have permission to edit the file.

"Save As" tells me The file cannot be opened for writing.

  • only libanimation.so and animation.xml is necesary to edit, and works very good in Ubuntu 10.10
