WHY GAY PRIDE???

My thoughts about gay pride and gay pride month. I might lose some subs over this topic but I dont care, the message in this video is important to me and those that understand the importance of equal rights.

HISTORY OF PRIDE

The majority of Pride events are held in June to commemorate the anniversary of the Stonewall Rebellion in New York City on June 28, 1969, which most historians consider to be the birth of the modern LGBT civil rights movement. At the time, police raids on bars catering to LGBT patrons were common, but that night, the patrons of the Stonewall Inn fought back. While historical accounts of the night vary, the violent response ignited a national firestorm of activism that brought new visibility to the struggle for LGBT equality.

June is unofficially recognized as Pride Month by the LGBT community, and many Pride events still occur on the last Sunday in June to commemorate the anniversary of Stonewall. In some places Pride events stretch out over a weekend or an entire week, while in other areas, Pride events occur at different times of the year altogether (particularly in parts of the country where June is especially hot).

i go to a church here in canada that takes part in the pride parade each year, its pretty cool actually. my minister is a lesbian too.

@Tru2DaStreets0718 See that's the problem with this country though is the fact that they'd rather reduce the population by killing rather than having gay people be legal. It makes no sense when people say the world is over populated and are against something that can slow down the population and just to let you know this is nothing personal. I just want to stand up for what I think is right and just because I think you're in this instance does not mean I think any less of you.

@uobcv So do you also think that lesbians were molested by their mothers or have mother issues then if you think that about men and why they are gay(because of father issues)? That still sounds so silly and the fact that you say you'd have no mercy if they made advances to you just goes to show thats what you are worried about. I bet you are a man and you probably have no problem with 2 women being together, its just the men? Right?
