Rajiv a 24 year old English badminton player currently representing England as the No.1 Singles Player. He was born and brought up in London and studied media and communication at Loughborough University. He has won the Senior National Singles title three times in a row at the English National Badminton Championships in 2008, 2009 and 2010. Ouseph became the first player to win three consecutive national singles titles since Darren Hall (1988-1992).

Ouseph achieved a career best world ranking of 21 in 2009 by winning the Canadian Open, French Open, Scottish Open, Irish Open and going on to win the 2009 European Circuit Finals. His other notable achievements are winning the European Junior Championship in 2005, the first Englishman to win the title in twenty years. In the junior English national circuit he has won all the singles titles from the ages of under 13 to under 19. In the European arena he has won the under 19 Danish titles in singles and mixed doubles and the German Junior title in singles.

He won his first senior cap for England at the age of nineteen in the Thomas Cup. He also represented England in the Sudirman Cup where he was the youngest player in the English team. Rajiv was selected as the number 1 singles player for the English team in the 2010 Thomas Cup which was held in Poland in February 2010.

Rajiv won the bronze medal in the mens singles, in the European Championships in April 2010. This is the first time in 16 years, a singles player from England, is winning a medal in the European Championships. In July 2010 Rajiv won the prestigious US Open Mens Singles Championships Title bringing his world ranking to 18. After the World Championships in August 2010, the ranking went up to a all time high of 14.

Rajiv is one of the English hopefuls for the London 2012 Summer Olympics.
