World's biggest smiley Face Bishop Luffa 24th March 2011

Charity Week 2011 officially became 'The Record Breaker' on march 24th 2011 as the school created the 'World's Largest Human Smiley', beating the previous record of 551 people with a fantastic 1349. The sunshine enabled us to go ahead with the record, as planned.A local pilot who kindly gave up his time to help the school with the event, they flew over the school in order for aerial pictures to be taken. Photographs taken from the plane look incredible and the shape formed by the school seems perfect to fit with the Guinness World Record requirements. The next step is to get the record officially approved by Guinness World Records. In a rather exciting turn of events when the school was contacted by French High school, Lycée Magendie, in Bordeaux France who have been similarly trying to create 'The World's Largest Human Smiley' but are likely to have missed out on the record as they managed to create a face of 1036 people.

Nice and impressive human smile but it's not really a smiley. The records in Orlando(500), Riga(551), Magendie (1036) were with the smiley colour code: yellow and black.

Magendie highschool get the certificate of the World's largest human smiley this week. The record is actually in Canada with about 2,200 people.
