Canon 5D Mark II test. http://www.myspace.com/andtherestandempires Here is some raw, uncorrected footage and audio recorded by the camera body with external microphones.
I ran two Shure SM81s on opposite sides of the room. The lack of manual audio control is limiting. It was hissing and then compressing the signal while attempting to auto-compensate. Also problems with auto-exposure. I guess we all knew this before making pre-orders, but this is not a replacement for a video camera. This may still be the right tool for newspaper photographers needing or wanting to branch out into video.
I cannot blame the camera for the lame shooting here, I was focusing more on playing the vibraphone than on the camera.

Your music is fantastic! Did you try to control the audio with the new Magic Lantern Firmware and Disabled AGC?

I think this is fantastic! I will be receiving my 5DM2 on Wednesday and can't wait! I know you are hyper-critical of the audio quality but it sounds pretty tight. And while the camera does have limitations, the image quality is stunning. For the same amount of money, I don't think you'd be able to find a video camera that you could slap a variety of lenses on and shoot in the basement with available light and get video that looks this good. By the way, great groove. Chocolate Rain-ish.
