Trajan has it's uses, and it's definitely a well designed typeface (if we don't count that hideous hyphen). Unfortunately It's just become a go-to font for far too many a movie poster.
And lol @ "Have a fling with comic sans… just be sure to trash the files in the morning"

Seems like the art departments at the studio houses aren't given any budget to buy new fonts seeing most people have Trajan for free. Blowing millions on effects I guess means that by the time they get to making posters they have no cash for fonts.
