A demonstration of using an Ashford Katie loom. A small and portable but fully functional 8-shaft loom.

She folds and has her own carry case.

  • Can I ask what the heddles are made of?

  • @weeandyrobo Hi there. They're Texsolv heddles - a kind of nylon material - they have good big eyes and don't rust like the metal ones.

  • Hi, Just watching your video and noticed you have the warp wrapped under the front roller - which is not how it is intended to be used. The front warp should come over the front beam and then down to the roller.

Kind regards, Kate Sherratt, Ashford Handicrafts NZ. (a.k.a Katie)
