Warning: Two boys having romantic interests to each other not your cup of tea? Go get some coffee then.
... I thought it fit them? Excuse enough?
Ah, well... yeah, it's in French so it fits Francis straight away. It also envolves England so it kinda fits Arthur. Anyways, I'm going to skip straight to a random point: I searched for hours for a lyrics translation, but I couldn't find one, so I made one.
Okay, just want to say one thing right away: I'm not French, I'm American, and I'm just now taking classe de français. So I'm fairly certain I'm off at some parts. Lol. Well, better than nothing? ^^' And if it counts I noticed some spelling errors in the lyrics on the page I got it from... like it had "est ce" instead of "est-ce" and "A" instead of "À" for "in". Might have had more that I didn't notice. Crap...
If you notice an error in translation, please point it out and I'll fix it straight away! Please and thank you~

TRANSLATION:

Mon amour,
(My love,)

je t'écris d'Angleterre.
(I'm writing to you from England.)

Je vais mal tu sais,
(I am doing poorly you know,)

je compte les jours.
(I count the days.)

Seul dans ma chambre universitaire.
(Alone in my dorm room.)

Je ne sors plus la tête,
(I don't go out, more the head,)

par les temps qui courent.
(as the world goes.)

Il pleut toute la journée,
(It rains all day,)

à Londre même en été.
(in London, even in summer.)

Chats et chiens à en pleurer.
(Cats and dogs to tears.)

Il pleut toute la journée.
(It rains all day.)

À l'université,
(In college,)

les jours pour moi, sont des années.
(the days for me, were years.)

J'ai mis ta photo sur l'étagère,
(I put your photo on the shelf,)

celle que j'avais prise à contre-jour
(the one that I had taken against daylight.)

Le vent souffle sur Trafalgar square.
(The wind blows over Trafalgar Square.)

Et depuis cet hiver,
(And since this winter,)

je compte à rebours.
(I countdown.)

Je fait des boucles à l'envers.
(I do loops in reverse.)

Un peu comme sur Revolver.
(A little like Revolver.)

Demain qui sait?
(Tomorrow who knows?)

Il n'y a plus de saison en enfer.
(There's no more season in Hell.)

On est tout seul sur cette terre.
(We are all alone on this Earth.)

Demain je sais.
(I know tomorrow.)

Il pleut toute la journée.
(It rains all day.)

Et si demain ne meurt jamais!
(And if tomorrow never dies!)

Est-ce que tu m'attends sur le quai?
(Are you waiting for me on the wharf?)

  • Good translation ! I'm French, and thanks to it, I understand that it's a very difficult language for other country ^^" But french is beautiful... i think so XD

  • this is so cute ^_^ Does anyone know where i can get his song? amazon and itunes dont have it...

  • @Kentaurosu Oui je sais. Mais le français familier ça porte parfois à confusion à cause de certaines ambigüités (et là c'était ambigü) XD Voilou ._.'

  • @kokorosdreams We're not twisted xD That's just 'colloquial french'

  • @5effinmeters No problem, I'm happy I could help you ^^

  • Your traduction is rather good ! But you've done two mistakes (because of the sense of the lyrics) :

" Y a plus de saison en enfer.

(There's more season in Hell.) "

    > There's NO more season in Hell.

I know this sentence is hard to understand u_u'

    when a french says : " plusssss ", it means : " more "

    when a french says : " plu ", it means : " no more "

And because French are really twisted, they often forgott the negation in front of the verbe u_u' : Y a plus > Il n'y a plus
