#107 Hair update/braids

I'm still working on regaining my hair health, and am bored with wigs. My hair has progressed though, now I need to grow back what I cut off.

I have those in right now. Everyone in my school thinks i got dreads. I'm taking them out tomorrow ( 3wks) and doing them hip length next week

@anewmeePassion More power to you on HIP LENGTH! That would probably take me 6 days to complete. I do like that I can have the dread look anytime I get ready though.

Good Job. I just installed yarn braids and hope to keep em for a couple of months. I dip them in hot water so they are easy flowing.

@Iamsonotmyhair It's still faster to twist than braid (unless you are a super-fast braider) and it is WAY faster to untwist than unbraid (so total time spent on the style would be shorter) though of course twists look fuzzy sooner (hey, you can't have everything, right?). :D

I inquired about getting them done at the salon that has done my kinkys and regular braids, they charge $350 for yarn braids. ridic!!! and they're rough, the last time I got braids done they didnt respect my kink, she tried running the pressing comb through my hair like a relaxed person would use a regular comb on their hair. I grabbed her hand and I said NO!!! I blew it out for you thats good enough!

Hey I too can relate, I am bored with my hair too. The weather is not cooperating in ATL for twistouts and such so, I am thinking about putting in some jerri curl hair. Your yarn braids are cute though.
