Source Code is an upcoming 2011 science fiction thriller film directed by Duncan Jones, starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Vera Farmiga, Michelle Monaghan and Jeffrey Wright.
It is set for release on April 15, 2011 in North America by Summit Entertainment.

Plot summary

A soldier (Gyllenhaal) becomes part of an experimental government program that is investigating a train bombing in an attempt to prevent a future bombing from occurring. The soldier, Captain Coulter Stevens, is sent into the body of Sean Fentress, a civilian aboard the train, in the last eight minutes of his life. He is forced to relive the incident over and over again until he can find out who is responsible and how to prevent the next terrorist attack from occurring. During the process, it is discovered that whatever changes he makes do not affect the overall time line of reality, allowing each trip to be different without risking damage to the real world. Despite this, Captain Stevens starts a series of attempts to stop the bombing during his trips, and ultimately seeks to change the future in the process. In his final trips, Captain Stevens begins to suspect that he -- or more specifically Sean (whose body he inhabits) -- is the bomber.
