On Oct 25, 2008, over 300 people in New York gathered in Washington Square Park to begin their walk for GULUWALK to raise awareness for the children of Northern Uganda.
But people beyond New York were doing the same thing: this year, over 15,000 worldwide raised their voices and, donning bright shirts, caps and faces, marched in more than 75 cities around the globe.
By the Numbers
As the tallies come in, it is evident GuluWalkers put forth a worthy effort this year: 15,000 of you walked, in more than 75 cities, and, so far, around $200,000 has been collected. Way to go!

"The Acholi are rebuilding their lives and getting on with the adjustments required in post-conflict circumstances."
