A much better text called While Men Slept: A Biblical and Historical Account of the New Universal Christianity by Kerby F. Fannin, Ph.D. which can be bought at Amazon and read quite a bit-most of this book in Google books. I will say Griesbech was quite a bit better then Westcott and Hort that he was more careful with the TR as his text but does not make him innocent.

Great info as I have studied much on these issues I would place Griesbach at the head as he introduced the rules of text criticism still used today by all text critics and one of the first Christains to traffic in higher criticism as his propositions are finding a hold today that there was one book used by the gospel authors. Many times we err in going to
iplinger when there is a much better author to showe connections in history called:
