While I personally like the Boy's got Wings a lot more, this is still nice... like nearly every Ys song. Good choice!

maybe I agree about boy's got wings, but that's not a world map theme for me, I'm not including these kind of themes. That's why you won't see seiken densetsu, ys, alundra and others, action-rpgs all of them.

This theme kind of reminds me of Fire Emblem music.

I don't know if I like this one, or the classic TGFX CD version. They both have their good points over the other.

Ys VI would probably be my least favorite. I grew up on Book I and II, and III on the TGFX CD. VI and V never came out to the States, and I don't use PCs anymore so I couldn't do Oath or Origins. But VI just wasn't my fave. I liked the new gameplay style, just not the story so much.

But Ys was my introduction to RPGs, so it will always be my favorite, even over FF games or Chrono games.

In the TGFX CD version you heard it all the time, because you had to use the map to travel places.

This one is much better than the original version, but I prefer the change after the game seriously gets going.
