  • Would this AAA battalion been attached to another division? I had an uncle that I have heard stories of pulling a gun to get the sailor to take them in further. He was in the 29th division. It probably happened in several higgins boats, but you never know.

  • @vetitoe362 Mr. Locker landed on the Utah sector and was not attached to the 29th. It sounds like your uncle experienced a similar situation on a different boat. Thanks for sharing.

  • is authentic nazi flag?

  • Yes, the flag was brought home by Mr. Locker after the war.

  • the flag is a war trophy.... when i went to iraq they didnt let us bring anything like that.... we had to go trough customs......

  • I Love These First Hand Stories. Its Important To Have Records Like This For People To Remember. YouTube Is Awesome.

  • i don't remember much of irving locker all i really remember was being around 5-6 years old and having a great guy bring me toy solddiers, proud to have him as a family friend

  • My father was there as well and also took many photos . He had a difficult time talking about it. Photos were also published in Life Magazine. Truely these men were our "greatest generation" God bless them all and all who suffered at the hands of the Nazis.

  • THANKS IRV, I would love to sit and tak with you.
