Tremendous how GG played this style of music as well... Roundabout 1970 there was a kind of hype around the "rare romantics". This was part of Glenn's reaction to it, along with his Grieg record, the Wagner and Beethoven/Liszt transcriptions.

@iamalittlespy Great piece, indeed. There are also traces of Schumann's intimate pianism and the flattering flair of french musicians like Gounod.

Great piece. Very chromatic indeed. Sounds like later music of Cesar Franck.
