From deplaning in the wing specially set aside for U.S. and Israeli airlines at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport early on Christmas Day 2008, this video takes you through the airport walkways, the airport train station, sliding Dutch fast-food vending slots, the Centraal Station downtown, with the famous landmark--the Victoria Hotel--opposite, and finally the necessary alleys until you arrive at the door and at the reception of the Flying Pig Hostel Downtown at Nieuwendijk 100 on perhaps the quietest morning of the year in Amsterdam.

Brilliant. That so totally rocked.

Personal highlights - descending the ramp to track 2, pulling into Central Station, standing outside Central Station with the wide angle head-on view of the early morning Centrum . Nuthin like it.

i really like this video-been back and forth to amsterdam several times and this video really shows how quiet things can be early ... especially during the holidays
