I'll do you one better...I was around for the 4RTH GENERATION.

What you're not getting is the fact that Genesis 32X and Sega CD failed for the exact same reason that I'm trying to explain to you.

typically, in general, Developers don't program for "get it yourself" add on peripherals, and the majority of console owners don't buy them...especially when it comes to storage devices.

If Wii U doesn't have a harddrive, then its an AUTOMATIC FAILURE...Might as well be a 32X.

were u not around during the sixth gen? ur thinking like their buying a computer, whenever something needs memory and that memory can be cheap and efficient people can and will go out and get more memory, ill say it again, they can use SD cards, Your still not getting it.

Theatrhythm on the 3ds uses nintendo network and the game comes out febuary 16 so we should probably know before e3

You don't seem to understand how consoles and consumers use them.

The MAJORITY of people that get consoles don't just "go ge more memory"

Consoles are made to be simple and idiot proof.....as in, what you have you're stuck with. Yes, some people will upgrade such as with the PS3's optional ability to get harddrives, but in relation to the VAST MAJORITY of people with PS3s (approx 60 million), very few of those owners actually do.

What about that do YOU not comprehend?

jesus it doesnt matter if it has a  harddrive or not dude, cause u can just get one, including other options, what do you get when u run out of memory? u go ge more memory, its simple, the wii allows u to download indie and old school games, eventually ull have to get more memory but those options dont stop existing just because it doesnt have a huge amount of memory, u just get more memory, this is not hard to comprehend

Anyhow, ignoring all those preposterous claims, interesting prospect.. I don't doubt Nintendo's working hard on a dedicated online infrastructure, but it's way too early to say anything about it, and I highly doubt it would actually be called Nintendo Network.. considering y'know.. Playstation Network being trademarked by Sony and all.. :P
