A meet was set up by WMC for the photographers with some pretty rare stuff. A BL2, FA-1 (cab control) and an A-B set of F's, all in WM paint.

  • Are thoses WM units still around? I throught they were all gone

  • @DeathDragon316 They run every day on the old WM out of Elkins WV. I think they even got more units painted up now...

  • Does the also FA still have it's original Alco motor in it?

  • @CSXtrackworker No. Its just a shell. It was converted to a cab control unit for the Long Island Railroad years ago.

    Thanks for watching...

  • What's all this talk of it being gone? What happened?

  • This is still there, and you can ride many of the trains in the Elkins, WVA area. I think what everyone is saying is that the Western Maryland is gone, and this is whats left of the railroad that once served the coal and wood industries in the area. This was also almost gone forever, and thank goodness it has been preserved. It is well worth the trip to see this, and the Cass railway. There is a lot to do, and see down here. Thanks for looking.
