It's Going To Be Okay - Episode 29 Part 2

Selena: (Upset) Demi! Open up. We need to have a talk.
Demi: (Silent)
Selena: DEMETRIA LOVATO. OPEN THE DAMN DOOR!
Demi: (Silent)
Selena: Look, I know what you did. We need to talk, now. I know youre in there.
Demi: (Silent)
Selena: (Opens the door, frustrated) Demi?
Demi: (Lying there, unconscious)
Selena: (Runs beside Demi, noticing the bloody towel, manicure scissors, and the peroxide. She then noticed the cuts on her wrist and started crying. Lastly she noticed an empty bottle of a prescription drug, dated only two days ago. She shook Demi as hard as she could to wake her, but no response. She then took out her cell phone and dialled 911)

*At the hospital*
Doctor: Ms. Gomez, you called this in?
Selena: Yes. Dr. Henry, is Demi going to be okay?
Doctor: Luckily, you got her help on time, she will be okay. There is some minor liver damage, and she will feel quite ill for some time. I am going to have her see a therapist once a day, and she will be staying here for a week. Is there anyone we should call?
Selena: No, Ill make the calls. Thanks Doctor.
Doctor: Thank you.

*Selena calls Nick*
Nick: (Looks at the caller ID and sees its Selena. Getting excited, he answers it) Sel?
Selena: (Crying) Nick you need to get Joe and meet me at the hospital.
Nick: (Worried) Whats wrong, what happened?
Selena: Its Demi. Shes alive, but you need to come. Ill explain everything when you guys get here.
Nick: Okay (Hangs up and goes upstairs to Joes room. He walks in) I know you hate me right now, but we need to go to the hospital.
Joe: (Lying on his bed, staring at the ceiling) I dont care if you cut your finger off, Nick. Just get out.
Nick: Joe, its Demi.
Joe: (Sits up) What happened?
Nick: (Shakes his head) I dont know. Sel just called and told us to go. Come on.
Joe: (Sighs worriedly) Fine.

*Joe and Nick arrive where Selena is at the hospital outside of Demis room, only to see her crying*
Nick: (Hugs Selena) Shh, dont cry. Babe, what happened?
Selena: (Hugs back, crying into his chest)
Joe: Is Demi okay?
Selena: (Pulls out of the hug) Dr. Henry said she is going to be okay.
Joe: What happened?
Selena: (Looks down) I went to her house. I, I found her in her room. She was unconscious. First she cut herself, I saw the scissors and the bloody towel. Then
Nick: (Rubbing her back) Then what?
Selena: She overdosed.
Joe: Oh my god.
Nick: Sleeping pills.
Selena: (Confused) How did you know?
Nick: She told me when she was over earlier.
Joe: You let her in?
Nick: Yeah, why?
Selena: Did you and her have another fight, Joe?
Joe: Something like that.
Nick: What did you do to her this time?
Joe: This is my fault.
Selena: What happened?
Joe: (Sighs, not answering)
Selena: Whatever, Joe. But she needs help. Dr. Henry is keeping her here for a week and she is going to have to see a therapist.
Nick: Is she awake?
Selena: (Shakes her head) No. Ive been out here since I called. I cant bear to see her at a time like this. But I think she is still sleeping.
Joe: Im going to see her.
Nick: Um--

*Before Nick or Selena could say anything, Joe walked into Demis room. She was still asleep, so he sat next to her bed and took her hand, then began to cry*
Joe: Babe, I am so sorry. But why would you do this to yourself? I dont understand why you would try to kill yourself like this. Its me who deserves to be hurt, not you. I wish I could rewind the clock 72 hours, before any of this happened. I love you so much, I dont know what I would do without you. Im sorry we broke up Im sorry I slept with Taylor. Im sorry. Please wake up, please be okay (Lays his head on the bed and cries. He soon falls asleep)
