The Road - acoustic cover - Jackson Browne

In a live setting from recently (Nov 4, 08) My 2nd show ever. Again, for friends that requested this and couldnt make it that night.

This is a recent find of mine. I never heard this song until about a week before. But what an amazing song. Danny O Keefe is the original writer on this. When I heard the haunting, lilting melody and honesty, I knew that I wanted to do this one, if nothing else to maybe expose others to this very thought provoking piece of music.

The lyrics talk about what the other side of fame looks like - a side Ive brushed against, at certain times in life, through seeing the other sides of the music business and meeting famous people. There's a sadness and a strength to these people, who have matured by going through the machines of fame.
