  • 60 seconds? I would love to see more of it, the film is gorgeous!

I was going to ask if this was done with some software but I found the blog with the process stuff and whoah, it's a lot of work! Thank you for creating this, it's very inspiring. :)

  • @CottonHands Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed the film and found the blog, I must add some stuff to that soon. Yes, it was a lot of work. There may have been clever software workarounds but it was all done on the supercheap, too! Anyway, worth it to hear comments like yours.

  • This kicks Ass!! Nikki Magennis--this is sexy-cool...love it!!

  • @deltatangofoxtot Thanks very much indeed!

  • I can't agree with the 60 second limitation. It has a good visual story arc, keeps my attention all the way through, isn't repetitive. I loved it. Wonderful piece of work. Your fellow authors on the anthology are damn lucky to have you. So is Cleis. You've made a marvelous piece of promotion for the book AND a great piece of animated film.

  • @remittancegirl Wow, thank you so much for your kind words, Remttance Girl! I'm very glad to hear you think the length is okay - it's quite hard to judge these things objectively when one is stuck in the middle of what takes months but translates into seconds.

  • I teach multimedia design, so I know exactly what you mean. It's painstaking work and then the result seems so brief. But yeah, I didn't find it lagged or sagged at any point. I love the style, the illustrative style and jerky, clockwork motion really underlines the Steampunk aesthetic.

  • I told you you were an amazingly multi-talented artist. The world must be let in on this secret. Nikki Magennis is brilliant!

  • @GaelMcM Thanks for your comment, Gael. Yes, it could have been shorter, I thought as much while I was making the film. I disagree that it needs to be 60 seconds, though. That seems fairly arbitrary.

  • It is too long, needs to be 60 seconds.
