I've garnered many comments from people attacking me. Let's make it clear: I do believe WE ARE IN A RECESSION however I believe the means that brought us to where we are now were no just economic they were social. The media is more than half to blame for the job losses, hysteria, and outcrys about global doom. Recessions are a cyclical process that every economy should expect occasionally - there is no need to print headlines like "SET TO BE A DEPRESSION".

Definately. I think the united states is definately in one. There's no doubt about that but it's like the rest of the world were like OMG lets tag along too! I know the credit crunch in the US affects other countries but COME ON we don't rely on the U.S to survive, it's not AS bad as the newspapers drum it up to be!

there is not a recession because the media says so. it is not a fictional situation. you seem to be completely unaware of socioeconomic factors that have contributed to the crisis, such as the housing implosion, the debt mismanagement and so on. if you think there is no recession and everything is fake then you sound like you live in your own little world, no worse than paris hilton or Marie Antoinette and her infamous "qu'ils mangent de la brioche".
