Design Thinking: Recycling Practices for the Dominican Republic
www.center.cca.edu
part 3 of 3

Indhira Rojas
MFA Design

In the Dominican Republic recycling is not a common practice. Design Thinking: Recycling Practices for the Dominican Republic is a workshop focusing on the investigation of behaviors and attitudes towards disposable materials (trash/garbage), from awareness to implementations of recycling practices in the home and community. By taking a human centered design approach, using the methodologies of qualitative research and design thinking, we intend to help the participants do interviews, practice observation, documentation, synthesis of information, do brainstorms and rapid prototyping exercises that will create solutions to found problems and encourage innovation in the way the Dominican Republic deals with disposing materials.
