  • My recent appraisal was $60k more than the zestimate. Their evaluation is ridiculous and hurts the market.

  • Hey Todd - Brad from Zillow here. This seems a bit confusing in my opinion and I work for the company. I'd like to add that 20,000,000+ visitors on average come to Zillow each month to get information and data as a starting point, like the Zestimate, but then Zillow recommends they contact a local real estate agent expert or appraiser to get a fair market value assessment of their property. We get them a zestimate, then connect them with you to give them a zactimate. I call that a a win-win

  • @rosenseattle What are you talking about? this has nothing to do with what you are talking about.

  • While refinancing my mortgage the appraisal I got differed from Zillow's estimate by $63,000. They under valued it.

  • You can also search for these videos:

Zestimate information for agents & Zestimate information for consumers

  • Hi, Rachel from Zillow here. Here is a little info on Zestimates and accuracy: This was created to give homeowners, buyers and sellers a starting point to help figure out how much a home might be worth. For accuracy, the national median margin of error is 8.5%.

  • Interesting take...not entirely accurate, but interesting none the less...

  • Thank you Please Please spread this truth, thank you!

  • On 6/14/2011, Zillow dropped my house value by 25k. Which is fine. But what bothers me is that it also dropped all the historical values by 25k. So you can't even go back to previous dates and trust those values, which were inaccurate to begin with. It's like they're saying "Well, our previous values were wrong, so we'll just go back and change history".
