Evgeny Kissin - Mozart & Schumann

The first fruit of the exciting new collaboration between Evgeny Kissin and EMI Classics is an album featuring Mozarts Piano Concerto No. 24 in C minor, K491, and Schumanns Piano Concerto in A minor, Op. 54, with the London Symphony Orchestra and Sir Colin Davis. The performances were recorded live in concert in September 2006. Kissin performs his own cadenza in the Mozart Concerto.

I have just bought this CD, and find that no matter which of my sound systems I play it on, the sound of the piano is so muted that at times I can barely hear it. I have to crank the volume really high, which spoils the overall quality of the music. I think someone went wild with the sound engineering on this one.
